My name is Alyson Plante. I’m an independent designer, visual artist, and writer who lives and works in Virginia.

When I’m not designing or making stuff, I can be found outside in the garden or curled up with a good book.

Experience
I’ve worked in design, marketing, and visual arts for over twenty years. Earlier in my career, I worked as a designer in publishing, as an art director in financial services, and as a creative specialist in public affairs. After working in those organizations for years, I saw a need for more clarity.
People want a streamlined, straightforward design process. They want simplicity, efficiency, and focus. I want that, too, so I made the decision to refocus my efforts on collaborating with others through my creative studio.
Being an independent designer keeps me nimble and responsive to my clients’ creative needs.
I earned my BFA in Design from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; my paintings and photography have been shown regionally and have been commissioned for commercial and private projects.
